We stayed at the Apex from 17 December to the 21st. I would stay here again. As others have mentioned, the rooms were well looked after. Service each day was well done. Beds and showers were great. Location was fantastic with great access to historical sights and food. For the holidays they had mulled wine in the lobby. That was a very welcome treat after a day sightseeing around Edinburgh.

We have a large room that overlooks the castle, and it’s worth it, if you’re going to spend time in the room or having coffee in the morning. It’s an entertaining street view if you pay extra for the balcony, and the castle is lit up at night. The extras are good: nice towels, good body wash, rooms are clean, the bathroom is modern. The breakfast is a good price (basically $20 USD/$18 GPB) if you eat a lot and like tea & coffee. Probably not worth it otherwise and there are a lot of other options in the city. Great location—close to everything and there are a lot of nearby pubs on Grassmarket. There’s a pool for the kiddos! Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a great location. Victoria Street is like 2 blocks away. The apexgrass market is just in front. The view to the Edinburgh castle is amazing. Rooms aren’t that big. Lots of pubs and coffee shops near the hotel.

Stunning location with a view of Edinburgh Castle and across the street from a plaza full of great places to eat. Staff at the hotel were SO nice! We were greeted with cute rubber duckies upon arrival.

great location in the old town with a nice view on the castle. room was super clean, and the staff super friendly. i brought a mickey mouse hot bottle with me, and each day the cleaning staff arranged the bottle with their apex rubber duck, really making my day each time i got back to the room.🥹❤️

Hotel location is amazing, welcome desk also fantastic, the bar wasn't great and didn't have any food or snack options in the evening, also no room service which felt quite unusual for a hotel like this. Team were very polite though and lovely to have access to a pool
